A full spectrum of health care benefit products is offered to North Carolina companies through WellPath Select, Inc and Coventry Health & Life Insurance Company both Coventry Health Care Plans, including:
WellPath SelectPlus is a point-of-service (POS) plan which offers members the choice of using one of two options each time they seek care: the more comprehensive in-network benefits when covered care is provided by or through a Primary Care Physician (PCP) and within the network, or the less restrictive but higher out-of-pocket cost for out-of-network benefits similar to a traditional indemnity plan.
WellPath Open Access HMO is an open access HMO plan that gives you the freedom to go directly to a participating doctor or specialist, without a referral. The plan provides members with coverage for medical services from a range of health care professionals at a reasonable out-of-pocket cost, as well as an extensive wellness program to help keep you healthy.
WellPath Open Access POS plan is really two health plans in one; an "in-network" option (just like the WellPath Open Access HMO plan above), and a more traditional indemnity-type plan, also referred to as an "out-of-network" option. As a WellPath Open Access POS member, you can choose either the in-network option or the out-of-network option each time you need a covered medical service.
In addition to our full line of HMO and POS products, we also offer a PPO product line. This product provides coverage for employers who have employees residing outside of our service area. This product is a Coventry Health & Life Insurance Company product which is administered by us. We are also able to provide natiowide coverage through PHCS a high quality provider network.

The WellPath Multi-Option Products are a combination of two plans which enables employers to offer either a highly managed (lower cost) or less managed (higher cost) plan to their employees once a year. By using a single health product, employers can consolidate multiple plans into a single, fully coordinated product, with the advantages of consolidated administration, reporting and experience rating.
Wellpath provides an integrated retail card and mail service program to manage outpatient prescription drug costs without sacrificing convenience.
Wellpath offers vision care plans that provide benefits for routine eye examinations, eyeglasses and contact lenses.
